Flex-Neck Adult Exxtended Catheter
We give you CHOICE so PD access can truly be customized for each patient.
The Flex-Neck Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter System: Extended Catheters
Patients’ needs, physiques, and capabilities require various PD catheter styles and sizes. Choosing the right catheter for your patient is important. And since every patient is different, having CHOICES is also important to you. The Flex-Neck ExxTended Catheter System is unique in its style, size, and implantation options. It is the most sophisticated and complete PD catheter system ever designed for either Upper Chest or Upper Abdomen exit-sites. The unique exit-site options mean that you now have an option for CKD / ESRD patients who may not have been a candidate for PD with a conventional PD catheter with a lower abdominal exit-site.
While some patients may choose the ExxTended Catheter based on their preference for an alternate exit-site location, the ExxTended Catheter is particularly suited for patients for whom a lower abdominal exit-site is not feasible due to any of several anatomical or medical reasons.
PD access can truly be customized for each patient. Flex-Neck Exxtended is a good choice for patients with:
- Obesity, multiple body folds and/or rolls, or pannis;
- Colostomy or other abdominal stoma;
- Urinary or fecal incontinence;
- Previous abdominal surgery;
- Who want to take tub baths instead of just showers, or who want the bulk of the catheter hidden in the bra or undergarment area.
