The Flex-Neck Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter System

Not all catheters are the same. Medigroup’s catheters out-perform conventional catheters and meet specifics outlined by dialysis leaders.

Flex-Neck Classic Catheters:

  • Traditional PD catheters with either a coiled or straight distal end
  • Uniquely designed to allow a choice of the most appropriate exit-site for the patient
  • Generally a good choice for patients who will have the exit-site above the beltline
  • Traditional "Tenckhoff" style catheter: straight inter-cuff segment, with either coiled or straight distal end
  • Available in four Adult sizes, each with 2 cuffs

Flex-Neck ARC Catheters:

  • Permanently bent catheters with a preformed arcuate angle, to provide a uniform caudally-directed exit-site
  • Generally a good choice for patients who will have the exit-site below the beltline
  • Swan-Neck Tenckhoff style: coiled distal end, bent inter-cuff segment
  • Available in three Adult sizes, each with 2 cuffs
Features Benefits

Exclusive, specially-designed Implantation Stencils included with each Flex-Neck Adult Catheter (Also available separately)

  • Implantation Stencils answer key questions regarding optimum catheter style, size, and implantation-site and exit-site location, relative to each patient’s unique physiology and needs.

Flex-Neck® Catheters are available in two styles, each available in three sizes (Classic Coiled, ARC™ Coiled; Small, Standard, Large)

  • Two style choices and three size choices mean that the physician can choose the optimum style and size for each patient, based on the patient’s unique physique, needs, and capabilities.
  • Classic Catheters are uniquely designed to allow a choice of the most appropriate laterally-directed exit-site for the patient, with its infinitely variable tunnel and exit-site capability.
  • ARC™ Catheters have a pre-formed, permanent 30° angle to facilitate a caudally-directed exit-site.

Largest I.D. of any PD catheter on the market

  • All Flex-Neck Adult Catheters have a larger inside diameter than conventional PD catheters, while keeping a similar outside diameter. This results in 30-33% faster exchange rates (in vitro tests).
