The Flex-Neck® Catheter for children may look like other Tenckhoff style children's catheters - but they offer much more:
Infinitely variable tunnel/exit site capability: Special silicone blend offers superior flexibility, so the doctor can select the absolute best exit site for that patient.
Faster exchange rates - 30-33% faster*: The Flex-Neck® catheter offers the largest internal diameter of any peritoneal catheter on the market. (*In Vitro tests of pediatric and adult catheters, actual results will vary.)
Consistent, quality flow rates: The unique design of the Flex-Neck® catheter offers four straight rows of offset holes. Diameter of holes for infant catheter, nominal 0.65 mm, for pediatric and adult small, nominal
0.85 mm result in optimal fill and drain.
Superior anchoring in rectus muscle: With a rectus cuff width of 5.0 mm (infant and pediatric) and 7.0 mm (adult small), the cuff can be totally encapsulated within the rectus muscle for better anchoring.
All Flex-Neck® Catheter kits include: catheter, tunneling stencils (left and right), surgical marking pen, plastic connector, cap, lubricating gel (for catheter insertion).
